Hi! Welcome to my Sport Journalism portfolio! My name is Gemma Ramsay-Bennett and I am going into my second year studying Multimedia Sport Journalism at UCFB.
Currently, I volunteer as a media assistant at Wealdstone Football Club who are in Step 1 of the football pyramid in the National League. I support Wealdstone's digital communications outreach by writing match reports, feature articles, interviewing players, producing short form TikTok and Instagram content and produce live match updates on the club's official X/Twitter platform.
I pride myself on bringing a unique perspective to every story I cover. I look beyond the obvious headlines to find angles, details and voices that others may overlook. My passion for sport, combined with my curiosity and commitment to strong storytelling, drives me to create content that engages and connects with audiences.
I am passionate about sports writing and sport media. If I was to describe my dream job it would probably be writing sports articles and features as I have always had a huge passion and talent for storytelling.
I have extensive knowledge covering football and have keen interests in netball, athletics and cricket.
